My first comic book!

I’ve always been a comics fan; my first comic book was an Amazing Spiderman: Skating on thin ice, where Spiderman was fighting Electro who was importing drugs in hockey pucks! The book was distributed for free by our local youth police division when they came at our school for the first time in Montreal Canada, I was 9.

With the years my passion remain active and I kept myself up to date, my favourite comic is without a doubt Batman and my best anti hero series is Chew, a comic by Image. However, in the last 2 years, I’ve been travelling for several months and established myself in London, UK. (I'm originally from Montreal, Canada) Being on a budget for while and didn’t want to accumulate things in my backpack, therefor completely stop buying comics.

Detective Comics 1, can't wait for my mail to arrive!

So when I heard that DC Comics was going to do a massive hit with 52 comics all starting at number one, that was the perfect occasion to get back in to it! I pre-ordered all the Batman related one, and went in store to get Justice League last week and Superman’s Action Comic this Wednesday.  Not bad for my first two purchases, but the real test will be with the Batman ones, my Detective Comics is in the mail as we speak…

 You can expect my reviews and opinion about the books I’m going to buy over the next few months. I will also talk about the comic book culture in London in general, I will present various other blogs that I read to keep my self up to date and I will try to get some interviews with comics fans and underground artist.
